This 61.0x91.4cm oil pastel painting on canvas board, is of Vajdahunyad Castle, situated on Széchenyi Island in City Park, Budapest. This is the second painting in my “Budapest” series. The viewer can see I continue my transformative use of inspirational photographs. I've taken an every day snapshot that could be taken by any tourist and changed it using expressive lines along with a symphony of color. My exaggerated textures pull the eye along in an ever-moving dance within the landscape. This work is a visually emotional celebration of this beautiful castle.
